Some inbuilt concept of "publication" (e.g. based on PubMed IDs?) should be added, so that projects can reference them, bibliographies can be generated, projects, cells & channels can be searched based on publications, etc.

Some clever Javascript could then be added which will generate a smart link (e.g. Traub et al. (2005)) which gives the full title/author list when the cursor hovers over it, and links to PubMed when clicked.
